Roy Edward Oke
Roy passed away peacefully at his home in Midland on June 11, 2021 at the age of 72. He is survived by his loving partner of 15 years Mary Pender. Loving father of Amy (Rob). Step-father to Darlene (Allan), Kira (Dennis), Courtney and Jamie. Grandfather of Gavin (Jessica), Joshua and Parker. Step-grandfather of Summer, Kaitlyn, Kyle and Kyra and step great-grandfather of Liam and Hayden. Roy was pre-deceased by his parents Roy and Mary and his sister Wanda. He will be sadly missed by his long-time friend Gordon Poole and his beloved dog Peeta. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to 724 RC Air Cadets, Midland or 714 RC Air Cadets, Wasaga Beach. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors at Georgian Bay Hospital, PSWs and nurses from Homecare and Bayshore. Special thanks to Megan. Cremation has taken place with a private family service. I can remember when Kelly, Angela and myself were trying to figure out what was going on with you Mary. Then one day Kelly blurted out "are you going out with Roy OKe"...your face lit up and the biggest grin ever was all over your face. He truly was a kind and wonderful man.
