I remember meeting Y-Dang in Hawaii and recall her sweet, kind and care-free spirit. My favorite memory was being invited to play the flute for Y-Dang and Chris at their wedding in Kailua. I played familiar songs like Phantom of the Opera and remember Y-Dang smiling the whole time. I felt honored to enhance a special milestone in her and Chris’s lives. When I first met Y-Dang, she generously donated a few of her luxury purses to me as a way to “connect” with me (we laughed when she told me Chris mentioned I love purses, which I do). Even though I only had the opportunity to bond with Y-Dang a few times, I remember feeling happy that she was with Chris. Y-Dang was an accomplished and wonderful lady that I had the honor of meeting.
