Obituary Overview

Forever In Our Hearts

Our beautiful mother left us to continue her journey to the spiritual world on Friday, June 4, 2021. Mom was born October 23, 1942 at Keeseekoose First Nation, SK.

She is survived by her husband Edward Walter Masney of 62 years. Born to parents Basil LeClair and Irene (Pricilla) LeClair, Mom grew up on Keeseekoose First Nation with five sisters and two brothers. Mom was raised from the age of four years with grandparents Fred and Laura Quewezance.

Mom had 11 children of whom she cherished to the fullest each and every day of her life: Shirley (Darrell), Freda (Robin), Judy (Doug), Edna May (Joe), Mike (Tammy), Joseph Masney, Darlene Masney, Lawrence (Rhonda), Cindy (Jason) and Allan (Shelley) and was a loving grandmother to 32 grandchildren and an amazing great grandmother to 46 great grandchildren.

Mom spent every day of her life enjoying her children and grandchildren, she loved attending hockey games and pretty well any event her children or grandchildren were involved in. She dedicated her free time to volunteering and teaching her cultural knowledge at various schools and First Nation associations.

You will always be in our hearts and never forgotten
