Obituary Overview

In Loving Memory

Cameron Arthur Einwechter
January 4, 1930 - February 4th, 2017
Former owner of Einwechter and Muller Painting & Decorating Ltd, Hespeler, On and Holiday Manor Fishing Lodge, Battersea, On.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Cameron Arthur Einwechter after a brief, yet very courageous battle with pneumonia. Cam is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jane. Cherished father of Richard (late Rita), Nancy McIntosh, Peter (Sharon), Joan Wilson (Mike), Steven (LeeAnn Saedel), and Sharon. Proud grandfather of Melissa Pace (Phil), Lindsay Ewart (Scott), Peter and Jake Einwechter (Alyssa McMurray) and Jeremy and Chris Wilson (Lisa Zidar), sister-in-law Helen & brother-in-law Harvey, and his great grandchildren Henry, Russell and Quinn who always brought a smile to his face, whether they were laughing or crying.

Cam was predeceased by his parents Naomi, father Albert, step father Aaron Wilhelm, brothers Charlie and Gardener and sisters Myrtle, Hazel and Audrey.

He will also be missed by his good friends and fishing buddies Wayne Keuhl and Joe Sharp.

Cam was an avid fisherman and handyman. He could always think through a problem and then cobble something together to fix what was broken. He had a great ear for music and could plunk out a tune on the piano or play an old tune on one of his harmonicas. He played his player piano every afternoon in Florida. He had his favorite songs and the neighbours looked forward to hearing them.
He loved working in his vegetable and flower gardens. He was still starting his plants from seed and making pickles, sauces and jams every year. His hands were never idle.
Special thanks to Cam & Janes snowbird friends for all of the support they received during a very stressful time in Florida over the past 2 week.

The family will receive friends at St. Thomas Anglican Church (130 Lakeview Avenue, Kingston) on Saturday February 11 for a service in Celebration of Cam’s life at 2 p.m. There will be a time of visitation an hour prior to the service as well as a reception following. The family will gather for graveside prayers at the Sandhill Cemetery in the spring. Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Salvation Army.
